Built to end AI
provider lock-in.

We believe the best model for every task shouldn't be limited by which API you happened to start with. OriginalPoint is the routing layer that removes that constraint — permanently.

1.0

The infrastructure
layer for AI.

OriginalPoint was founded on a simple observation: the best AI model for a given task changes every few months, but the cost of switching providers — in engineering time, API migrations, and organizational inertia — stays constant.

We built a single OpenAI-compatible endpoint that routes to every leading model. When a better model ships, you don't rewrite integrations. You just call the same endpoint. The router handles the rest.

Today, OriginalPoint connects developers and enterprises to 16 frontier models across OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and xAI — with smart routing, BYOK support, usage analytics, and enterprise-grade security built in from day one.

From idea
to infrastructure.

We've moved fast and stayed disciplined. Every milestone has been tied to a real developer need — not a press release.

2024 — Q1
Company founded
OriginalPoint incorporated. Initial team of four engineers focused on routing engine architecture and latency benchmarks.
2024 — Q2
First four providers integrated
OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and xAI all live. OpenAI-compatible interface shipped. First 200 developers onboarded via private beta.
2024 — Q3
Smart Routing v1 launched
Cost-optimized, latency-first, and quality-max routing modes available. Real-time fallback logic goes live across all providers.
2024 — Q4
16 models, BYOK, and public launch
Full model catalog live. Bring Your Own Keys support launched. SOC 2 Type II audit completed. Public launch with usage analytics dashboard.
2025 — Present
Enterprise program and scale
Enterprise contracts, SAML SSO, IP allowlists, and dedicated support channels. Processing millions of requests per day across all providers.

Committed to the craft.

We're a small team of infrastructure engineers, AI researchers, and product builders. We care deeply about developer experience and the long-term reliability of the systems we build.

A
Alex Chen
Co-founder & CEO

Previously infrastructure lead at a major cloud provider. Built distributed systems at scale for 7 years.

M
Morgan Lee
Co-founder & CTO

Designed routing systems for real-time applications. Obsessed with p99 latency and failover architecture.

J
Jordan Park
Head of Product

Former PM at developer-tools companies. Believes great infra products are invisible until you need them.

S
Sam Rivera
Lead Engineer, Platform

Built the routing engine and real-time fallback system from the ground up. Expert in distributed tracing.

T
Taylor Nguyen
Head of Security

Led SOC 2 program and security architecture. Focused on zero-trust API security and enterprise compliance.

C
Casey Kim
Developer Relations

Writes the docs, runs the community, and builds the examples developers actually want to read.

4.0

What guides every decision.

01
Developer-first, always.
Every product decision starts with the developer experience. If our docs are hard to follow or our API is unintuitive, we've failed — regardless of how clever the underlying system is.
02
Transparent pricing, no surprises.
Our pricing is published, public, and predictable. We don't add hidden margins to model costs. We charge for routing infrastructure and we're clear about what that covers.
03
Model neutrality as a foundation.
We don't have incentives to push you toward any particular provider. Our routing recommendations are based on real latency and cost data — not commercial relationships with AI labs.
04
Enterprise-grade from day one.
Security, reliability, and compliance are not features we add for enterprise customers. They are the baseline we hold ourselves to for every user, from the free tier onward.
